About ALAI Opatija 2025

Celebrating 140 years of joint Hungarian-Croatian Copyright Act, this Congress - co-organized by the Croatian and Hungarian national ALAI groups - will delve into a complex issue of ownership and transfer of copyright and related rights.

ALAI 2025 Congress will provide a platform for participants to explore key questions, such as:

  • current state of play of international treaties and national rules on ownership of copyright and performers' rights
  • works created by "authors" other than human beings
  • transferability and waivability of copyright and performers' rights
  • post-transfer rights and corrective measures in favor of authors and performers
  • streaming, transfer of rights and the management of large catalogues
